Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman scored his smack like a common junkie, schlepping to an East Village apartment to feed his heroin fix, law-enforcement sources told The New York Post.
A witness has come forward to tell cops that several months ago, he
personally eyeballed Hoffman buying the drugs himself, making the
transaction at the same apartment where the witness was being supplied.
Cops — desperate to find Hoffman’s seller — took the tip so seriously
that they set up surveillance on the apartment on Monday night, the day
after Hoffman died.
There, cops arrested a customer who emerged from an apartment in the
building, which they believe supplied the smack to Hoffman’s dealers.
But the drugs they found don’t have the “Ace of Spades,” stamp – the
logo that appeared on the drug envelopes found in the $10,000-a-month
Bethune Street apartment where Hoffman overdosed with a needle still in
his arm Sunday.
