Chinatown suspect ends up dead

UPPER EAST SIDE- Suspect Tyrelle Shaw, who was wanted in a string of four attacks on Asian women, was found hanging in the elevator shaft inside 766 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side on Monday.
The neighbors reported the smell for the past three days.
The suspect typically wielded a hard object wrapped in a white plastic bag, hit his victim, then ran away.
Police were recently monitoring Shaw's blog. The 25-year-old is self-described artist who created bow ties. The NYPD got his name through Crime stopper tips, and police had been visiting locations he is known to frequent.
The blog explained the reasons for the attacks, said police, and Shaw also posted that he was going to commit suicide.
